If you are using a UD-owned computer, the CiscoAnyConnect client should be installed automatically.

If you are using a personal machine and need to utilize the VPN, you can download it for free from UDeploy.

To use the VPN, you will need to have two-factor authentication enabled.

Connect to the VPN

On Windows, select the Windows Start Menu and scroll through the list of programs.
On Mac, open Finder and select the Applications folder.

  1. Locate the Cisco folder

Your Second Password will be a two-factor authentication code. You usually will get this code when logging into systems like Canvas or HR-related systems.
    1. If you use voice or text to receive your code you must first enter one of the following:
      1. voice1 in the Second Password and press OK field to receive a call with your code
      2. sms1 in the Second Password field and press OK to receive a text with your code
*You may see a notice saying "login failed" when you trigger the code to be sent. This is normal. Once you get your code, you can enter it as normal with your credentials.

    2. If you use Google Authenticator or any other app to get your code, open the app as normal.

  5. Once you receive your code, enter it into the Second password field with your other credentials and press OK

  6. The AnyConnect client will display a green check when connected
