Apple no longer supports versions of MacOS prior to version 11.
If you are on MacOS running into difficulty using the Virtual Lab or other class software, you may need to upgrade to a supported version of MacOS.
Check your MacOS Version
You can check your Mac Version from the Apple menu in the corner of your screen, choose About This Mac.
You should see the macOS version name, such as macOS Big Sur, followed by its version number.
Run Software Update
Before you run the upgrade, we recommend using Time Machine to run backups. If you have an external hard drive, you can use this guide to create a backup.
Once you are ready to run the backup, you can use this guide from Apple on how to use Software Update to get the latest version of MacOS for your machine: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541
If Software Update Doesn’t Work…
You can use an alternative download for MacOS through the App store or direct downloads. You can find Apple’s most up-to-date list of downloads and app store links here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683#appstore
