There are some issues that are known to happen with the USB-C docks and some Dell machines.

Usually, a user will find that the laptop will not display video to the Monitor/Docking station. To address it, follow the procedure below.


To fix the issue

Unplug the monitor/dock from the computer

Shut the computer down completely. (Do not use restart)

Power the computer up by pressing the power button.

Immediately after pressing the power, begin pressing F2

This will load the BIOS.

You can simply Exit the BIOS menu, and the computer will restart again

After the computer has fully restarted and you have logged in, plug the dock back in.
